Lightnin’ Hopkins

Lightnin’ Hopkins

Lightnin’ Hopkins (“Hops”) is a happy little guy with a lightning bolt on his forehead. He is 25 lbs and 6 months old. Hops will probably be a 40-50 lb dog when he is full grown. He is very much a mixed breed, but may have some pit bull or border collie in him. Hops sometimes guards his stuff other dogs, so might prefer to live with a dog who doesn’t mind this behavior, or as an only pup.

Hops has been living with a dog trainer, other dogs and a cat since mid October and has learned how to sit, lie down, stay, come when called, sleep in a crate and eat out of Kongs. He has done really well on off leash hikes in the mountains, he’s a “velcro” dog and checks in often. He is super smart, loves people and is a good snuggler, and is well on his way to being house trained. He is busy and mouthy and very much a puppy still, so will need someone to reinforce the good behavior he is learning.

See video of Hops playing here.

Please note: Lightnin’ Hopkins is located in Weaverville, NC.
